Woodcutting is not yet available as a playable profession in the documented version. Trees in the scenery do not, by themselves, represent gathering nodes.
Obtaining materials
Check the item required by the recipe and its source in the catalog. The game already has materials obtained through hunts, quests and NPC offers; the source depends on the individual item.
Preparing to craft
Before searching for wood across the map, open the desired piece's recipe and check materials, quantities and gold. The forging guide explains the existing workshop process.
