Equipment crafting takes place at NPC workshops. Borin and Toran handle different weapon and armor tiers; each piece has its own source and recipe.
Craft a piece
- Check the equipment in the catalog and identify the workshop responsible.
- Gather the listed recipe, materials and gold.
- Approach the NPC, open Trade and check Crafting.
- Review the quantity, costs and resulting piece before confirming.
Equipment requirements still apply after crafting. A weapon incompatible with your class does not become usable because you crafted it.
Improve a weapon
Borin also handles Soul Crystals; Elva handles Life Stones. These services let you craft catalysts and apply improvements to an existing copy. They are separate from crafting the weapon and enchanting it.
The current process uses NPC recipes and services. An artisan profession with its own level, player shop and offline income is not a requirement of this system.
